About Us

Tales of the Ravenous Reader is our little place on the web to help promote the books we adore. In addition to being bloggers, we are also on bookstagram and booktube, where we regularly chat and post interviews and more.

For further contact, please email us at talesoftheravenousreader (at) gmail. Between the two of us, we read every genre within the YA/NA category plus a little adult fiction, too!

See our feature on Pub(lishing) Crawl (a blog for authors), where we shared about the special relationship between authors and bloggers and how to cultivate it.

We hosted the Authors <3 Bloggers BFF Brunch (13 authors and 13 bloggers from the Bay Area) alongside NYMBC in 2017 and it was A BLAST. The event was featured on Publisher's Weekly. See more about it here

We regularly moderate events here in the Bay Area, something we both greatly enjoy. We also cover movie releases in our Novel to Reel feature. Follow us on social media to see which events we will be at!

We love The Ripped Bodice (the only romance themed bookstore in the US) so much that we sponsor the YA shelf there. Check it out!

About Us

My name is Nancy and I am an avid reader from the San Francisco, bay area. I love to read and I relish the fact that within the pages of a story I can loose myself and become the heroine, fly that plane, man the ship or ride that horse that will take me to faraway lands of adventure. Although I am an adult, this blog specializes in Young Adult reads and I favor Paranormal, Fantasy, Dystopian, Steam Punk and Post-Apocalyptic Fiction, but am also venturing out of my "comfort" zones and enjoying other genres. You can find me at SF Bay Area book events and on Twitter, Instagram and GoodReads as TheRavenousReader

When Christy isn’t devouring YA novels like the world is ending, she spends her time with her fur balls, husband, and fangirling over everything. Always loves book two in a series the most. She's a big dystopian fan; her favorite series is The Giver Quartet. She's the resident sci-fi reader and also enjoys contemporary, thrillers/mystery, romance, paranormal, and YA non-fiction. In addition to contributing here, she blogs for Hicklebee's Children's Bookstore and talks about superheroes on Sunday for Forever Young Adult. You can find her at Bay Area author events and on TwitterInstagram, and Goodreads as diamondxgirl.

2016 was a GREAT bookish year for me and 2017 is going to be EVEN BETTER
