From Flipping the Channel to Flipping the Page - Pairing TV with Books in Honor of Stranger Than Fanfiction! +GIVEAWAY

If you follow on Twitter, you know our fandoms expand beyond books. We regularly attend cons and other entertainment events, especially ones with our favorite TV shows (*cough* SUPERNATURAL). Stranger Than Fanfiction is the perfect book for people who appreciate the depth and network a fandom brings. There's nothing like being with your people...except when the people are the stars of your favorite show and maybe they're not who you thought they were. Stranger Than Fanfiction is not just a story of a road trip with your fav TV star but an exploration of transition. Absolutely loved it.

To celebrate Stranger Than Fanfiction releasing yesterday, we decided to bring two of our favorite things together: TV and books! Check out our video pairing our favorite TV shows with books and enter our giveaway for a copy of Stranger Than Fanfiction and a $50 giftcard to get a jumpstart on your epic road trip!

  1. I have a few book, or book-to-movie, fandoms I'm a part of, but not a ton of tv-only ones (when I started reading, I gave up most tv). So there's Outlander, Game of Thrones--even though I'm severely behind, Twilight, and Harry Potter--I'm not quite as enthused about "house pride" and all that (I actually chose the house I wanted lol), but I do enjoy it.
We watched several seasons of Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, and Pretty Little Liars. These were great fandoms for me for a while, until each kind of hit that pivotal moment where ...they weren't, and really just need to end. For Supernatural, there was one character that we just simply could not stand. And for all three, we felt like they kind of jumped the shark, so to speak. One veered off course from the original mission, one lost its main character and was left with virtually no human anchors way too early in the series, and one just would. not. end. Because, even the best shows eventually need to wrap up and just be done with it, you know?
Thanks for the giveaway chance. :)
