On November 9th I had the pleasure of attending a Not Your Mother's Book Club for Kristen-Paige Madonia, author of Invisible Fault Lines and Tamara Ireland Stone, author of Every Last Word. The event was held at the Palo Alto branch of Books Inc. and it is one of my favorite of their bookstore locations. So, you can imagine how happy I was to see these two very favorite authors in such a great place.
The event started off with Hannah, who is the event coordinator for NYMBC introducing each author.
Kristen and Tamara had this great chemistry that was evident from the get go. They had met several year before at an event in Oregon and it felt as if they were old friends.
In Invisible Fault Lines Callie struggles to come to terms with the disappearance of her father, but eventually chooses to believe that he has traveled back to the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. In Every Last Word Samantha McAllister looks just like the rest of the popular girls in her junior class. But hidden beneath the straightened hair and expertly applied makeup is a secret that her friends would never understand: Sam has Purely-Obsessional OCD and is consumed by a stream of dark thoughts and worries that she can't turn off.

Afterwards, I could not resist a photo with these two ladies whom I admire and adore.
