Things Got Real Peculiar on Loop Day (Event Recap + GIVEAWAY)

The most peculiar ravenous readers visited Books, Inc for #LoopDay 2016, aka the launch of Tales of the Peculiar.

Of course, this day coincided with our trip to San Francisco Comic Con so we were dressed extra peculiar as Sadness and Hipster Ariel. Author Ransom Riggs took photos which each attendee then signed books and enjoyed cookies with the crowd before skipping out to one of the four additional Loop Day events taking place in the Bay Area.

ICYMI, we created our own tales of the peculiar from family photos earlier this month, had the chance to fangirl at the OTP Tour, and we are super pumped for the upcoming Miss Peregrine's movie!

Stay peculiar, friends!

  1. Thanks for the awesome chance! I haven't read Furthermore or Library of Souls yet, but I've read everything else of theirs including the two graphic novels.

    1. I really struggled to get into Library of Souls until about halfway through and then I was basically sobbing through the end. Totally worth your read!

    2. Yeah, I feel like I really need to recap Hollow City better before I move on (part of the reason I read the graphic novel lol). I was buddy-reading the series with a friend (actually waiting for her to catch up), but then she gave up after Hollow City. :'(

    3. Oooo how was the graphic novel? I was so tempted to buy it on Loop Day.

Your buddy read friend shouldn't give up! I gave up, too, but that last 50% of Library of Souls redeemed it.

  2. I love your cosplays! I wasn't able to go to the signing or SF Comic Con. This looks like it was a lot of fun. Thanks for a chance at this giveaway!

    1. The good thing about Tales of the Peculiar is you can read it out of continuity :)
