ARE YOU READY FOR OUR MONDAYS?

It was the best of Mondays, it was the worst of Mondays. Mondays get the worst rep, don't they? Like how many people get up on Monday EXCITED to start the week? Unless this is vacation or a Disney movie, it's not many! So let's talk about our best and worst Mondays - you be the judge!

The BEST Monday

The best Monday started like any other Monday, with good memories of the weekend before. Why? Because I had just attended SupernaturalCon for my (pre)honeymoon. When our wedding was moved due to a double booking at the venue, we decided not to move our honeymoon and just roll with it. That meant I got to relax the entire week before I got married - sweet! But back to my weekend...We had front row VIP tickets to see our favorite TV cast doing their thing plus photos and autographs with each of the cast members. When we told Jeffrey Dean Morgan about our upcoming wedding, the man kissed me and congratulated us. That alone is enough to make Monday AWESOME. On top of it, we were spending the day at Disney, which we later came to find out was opening day for the new Star Wars attractions. EPIC. Such a freaking great Monday.

The WORST Monday

I feel like when you're going to have a terrible Monday, you get a little advance notice. Something always starts the day off with an annoyance that makes you want to crawl back in bed and pull the covers over your head. So when I fell back asleep after my alarm went off, I should have known! So I started my day a little bit behind. Do you ever have those mornings where something is off but you don't know why? Turns out I had gotten my routine mixed up and left the house without lipstick. Nothing like a full face of makeup and NO LIPSTICK. No problem, right? I'll just stop at the drugstore and pick some up. Plus a Starbucks sounds delightful and I've earned it...NOPE. Managed to dump the entire frappuccino on the floor of the car without even taking a sip. So now my car smells like rotting milk, my face is all off, and I have to somehow continue my day. Cue intense headache, which could probably be cured with two Tylenol and some caffeine except the caffeine is now all over the floor and there's no way I'm risking round two. Sigh. Work time! Great, except I forgot I have a big meeting in the afternoon I have to prep for still and of course there's fires to be put out. By that time my nerves are shot and it doesn't even matter that no one else knows how off my game I am, because I totally know. So now I'm second guessing everything and worried about how awful the meeting has gone. Face-game off, no caffeine, confidence shaken; thanks, world!

For the next five Mondays, blogger friends across the internet will be sharing their best and worst Monday. Follow along with us online with #TGIM and #AWeekofMondays, because whether a Monday is memorable for good reasons or memorable for bad reasons, we stand to learn a lot about ourselves.
