ABOUT THE BOOK
Sometimes you have to tear everything down to build something new…

Sayer Cole is frozen inside. At least, that’s what it’s felt like for as long as she can remember. She’s yet to let anyone past her icy exterior – and the one guy she thinks might melt her heart couldn’t possibly be interested in someone so uptight.

Rough, hard and hot-as-hell, Zeb Fuller has rebuilt his life and his construction business since protecting his family sent him to jail all those years ago. His elegant client, Sayer, makes him feel like a Neanderthal in denim, but despite the many hints that he’s been dropping to get to know her better, she seems oblivious to his charms.

Just as things finally start to heat up, Zeb’s past comes back to haunt him and he needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. As these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, fire and ice collide in an unstoppable explosion of steam…

My Thoughts:

A few years ago I read RULE by Jay Crownover. It was my first dip into the New Adult genre and because of that book my reading selection forever changed. Instead of being a strict Young Adult reader, I now found myself getting immersed into this new territory that returned my love of reading and all things smexy. I was an instant fan of Jay's Marked Men and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

Until Now.

Fast forward to the present and the release of BUILT. Oh baby! This novel by Jay Crownover has become my favorite book of hers. Not only does it showcase a male character that is honest, hardworking and sexy as hell but it also proves that a story does not have to be super angsty in order to make it a worth while read.

What makes me love BUILT the most is its male lead Zeb Fuller, for he is unlike anyone I have read before.  What you see is what you get despite his less than stellar past and it made me melt inside. His honesty of emotion and actions was a welcome breath of fresh air and once he laid eyes on Sayer Cole everything shifted. She is the one. Yet, despite her attraction to Zeb she decides to keep her distance because she could never fathom someone as hot and as amazing as Zeb, could ever be attracted to her. Not only were they from different sides of the track but she believed that he would go running if he knew how frigid she actually was. But you know what happens when ice meets fire, nothing but undeniably steamy desire.

While BUILT showcases some amazing characters it also has a well written story line that is endearing and hot, hot, hot. Jay Crownover's writing really shines and you can see how far she has come since her debut years ago. It has improved and matured while she proves that you don't need a ton of angst to have a wonderful story with some of the best feel good moments around. If you're a fan of Jay's than I know you will enjoy this new romance and if you have never read any of her books than this is a perfect one to start with despite it being a spin-off series. Believe me, this book is made of awesome.
