Top 10 of 2015 Day 3 : My top ten audiobook favorites for 2015

Thank you, for joining my lovely co-hosts and I on this fun challenge. We greatly welcome your participation and cannot wait to see what your lists look like. This year was a great year for books and I pushed myself to read out of my comfort zone and was very pleased with the results. I had hoped to read more than the 89 books that I have managed so far but I will strive for more next year.

Today’s post is centered on the our own personal choice of top ten list for 2015. This year I will admit to being very behind on my reading. Personally it was a very busy year and when that happens my reading suffers. But because I have a long commute I listen to a lot of audio books. Personally, these books of auditory wonder have saved me from going insane and have given me a sense of peace on my long daily journey.

  1. Two audios made my list for today! Wallbanger and Archer's Voice. Both were great but Wallbanger wins. It made me laugh and the narrator realy brought the characters to life.

  2. I wish I enjoyed Audio books since it would make my life so much easier but I start them and get annoyed with the voices and loose interest every time

  3. This was the year I finally got into audiobooks and now I love them. I use them for my commute too and idk what I did before them. I'm really glad to see Maybe Someday on your list since I have that one waiting for me. And I agree with Queen of Shadows, that was a great audio.

  5. So far I've only tried one audio book and I didn't like it at all. The person read too slow and I did not like the voice. I think if you have a long commute to work or need something to do when you do housework then a good narrator might make a good audio book. But personally i love reading. And i don't think that it is the same to just listen to the story. But I would love to try to listen to a favorite book with a great narrator.

  6. I've recently got into reading audiobooks at work. Right now I'm listening to A Court of Thorns and Roses. I read the book months ago, but a reread felt necessary and I've heard good things about the audio so I gave it a try. So good!

  8. I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS!! What is better than getting stupid household chores done and reading at the same time. In fact im listening to A Court Of Thorns and Roses as we speak (or type?) Anyway GREAT picks! i loved QOS and Winter. I actually binged the whole Lunar Series in audio and it was FABULOUS! I have a favorite though. It is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. The narrator is Davina Porter and she is hands down the best! Those books ARE HUGE and i flew through all of them. She does the best male voices as well so it felt soooooo real. So glad to find another audio lover. This was a great topic!!

  10. I've just begun to love audiobooks this past year. So far I loved Between the Lines, and REady Player One, as well as Armada best. I've also enjoyed listening to Mindy Kaling's books, and Kunal Nayyar's book. I would have done this for my topic today except that I don't think I've quite got to 10 in a year yet.

  11. Yes. I listen to them mostly when driving. I have a 40 minute drive to work so this works out well. My favorites so far have been the Dresden Files series.

  12. I like audiobooks, but I've found more that I didn't like than ones that I've loved. My current favorite audiobook is Temptation by Karen Ann Hopkins. I'm in love with it. The narrators are perfect for the characters voices.

  13. I've never used audiobooks although my MiL listened to Books on Tape (CDs) after she lost her sight. It was really a blessing for her because she loved to read.

  14. I have only ever listened to two audio books and my favorite of the two would have to be Illuminae! It was so wonderfully done with all the sound effects, music, etc.

  15. I like audio books, but I think I can only listen to books I've already read. I think that I've listened only 4 audio books (Neil Gaiman's Coraline, The Ocean at the End of the Lane & MirrorMask, and HP1 read by Stephen Fry) and I loved them, but as I said, 3 of them I've read before. I really want to listen the audio of Ready Player One (heard awesome things about it, and I adore the book), and I can pretty much listen to anything read by Neil Gaiman, I adore his works, and I love the way he reads :)
