About the Book

INTO THE STILL BLUE

Author: Veronica Rossi

Release Date: January 28, 2014

Pages: 400

Publisher: HarperTeen

The earth-shattering conclusion to Veronica Rossi's "masterpiece" Under the Never Sky trilogy and sequel to the New York Timesbestselling Through the Ever Night (Examiner.com).

Their love and their leadership have been tested. Now it's time for Perry and Aria to unite the Dwellers and the Outsiders in one last desperate attempt to bring balance to their world.

The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe-haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do-and they are just as determined to stay together.

Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. And when Roar returns to camp, he is so furious with Perry that he won't even look at him, and Perry begins to feel like they have already lost.

Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble a team to mount an impossible rescue mission-because Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival, he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

In this final book in her stunning Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.

Hi, Nancy! Thanks for having me on Ravenous Reader! (Thank YOU! Veronica)

If your book series were optioned for a film and you could pick the cast, whom would you choose?

The UNDER THE NEVER SKY series is actually optioned. Currently the rights are with Warner Bros. As for who I'd cast... well, it's impossible for me to say. I have such a clear picture of the characters in my mind. No one comes to mind who quite fits the bill for the lead characters. I'll share something with you, though, that's very random: I've always had this feeling that Perry's role would go to an unknown Australian actor. It's just a bizarre gut feeling, based on absolutely nothing substantial, but there you have it!

Do you use an inspiration board when writing and if so, could you share them with us?

I didn't for the UTNS series. I have one for the next series. When the time is right, I'd love to share that with you!

Please share your feelings about your book series coming to an end?

So mixed! On one hand, I'm so proud of it, and happy to be moving onto new things. On the other, I miss the characters and want to cling to them a little longer.

Tell us about your favorite character in this series and why?

Impossible to answer. Really. I truly enjoy writing them all. Even Willow's dog, Flea.

What is your favorite passage of INTO THE STILL BLUE?

Here's a few lines that I like, from Aria's POV:

"Maybe his grief was like her wounded arm. Slowly healing. Gradually becoming less consuming as life delivered other worries and other joys. Other sources of pain and happiness. She wanted that for him. More life. More happiness."

Ahhhh! that makes me want to re-read this series all over again. Now, that you have been given all these tasty UNDER THE NEVER SKY series tid bits you can now enter the giveaway below to win a signed series set.
