  14. Oh man. Choosing a favorite author is hard! I love Sarah Dessen. Her books were the first ones in the YA genre I ever read. Essentially, she's the one that opened this door for me and I'm so grateful. I've read and love all of her books and I just hope she keeps writing more.

  17. Hard to pick a favourite, but I've read 'Thud' maybe four or five times and it gives me the feels every time, so I'll go with Terry Pratchett.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Absolute favorite author is probably Angela Elwell Hunt. Her take on historical fiction just always leaves me floored, especially with how well she can write romance without it being too cheesy or predictable.

  19. Ack! Rainbow Rowell is currently one of my absolute favourites. Other than her... I love Shannon Hale and almost all her books. Neal Shusterman is talented and his books are some of the most interesting I've ever read. But then again, there's always Sanderson or Gaiman or Ness. Too many great authors!

  25. I have so many favorite authors! But off the top of my head, it'll have to be J.K. Rowling and Arthur Conan Doyle. Harry Potter is amazing and my favorite series and Sherlock Holmes is my favorite fictional character ever.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My current favorite is Rainbow Rowell! Eleanor & Park made me cry so much. But a few authors with books I absolutely loved end of this year is Robyn Schneider, because The Beginning of Everything is absolutely amazing and Kate Karyus Quinn, for Another Little Piece which is so beautiful.

  27. Ahhhh. It's hard to classify authors into 'favourites' because there are so many good ones with books that leave something in you. I'll just base this on my favourite book, alright. It's Tiffanie DeBartolo, who wrote How to Kill a Rock Star and God-Shaped Hole. Her writing sounds so poetic minus the verses and the words, ugh- she creates great prose using words you'd never thought that were awesome.

And now that I wrote about that, Rainbow Rowell suddenly popped into my mind. Tiffanie's and Rainbow's writing is sort of the same.. in a bit. Wow, I just realised that.
