He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

My Thoughts:

CHAMPION by Marie Lu is nothing short of AMAZING!! A truly phenomenal series finale that had the best of everything: Intrigue, non-stop action and romance. So damn good that I want to read it all over again.

I picked up CHAMPION and was quickly thrust back into it's world of tension and high stakes. It doesn't take long before this quasi status of peace becomes threatened and at the heart of it all means a sacrifice that is too heartbreaking to contemplate.  I could not wait to see Day and June together again and when they do...gah!! my heart...so many feels and that is just the tip of the iceberg with CHAMPION. I was a bundle of nerves throughout this whole book and could not breathe easily until the very last word.

I could go on and on about this book and could never really capture everything that this book was. Let me just say that fans of this series would not be disappointed and if you have not read this series then you seriously need to.

CHAMPION is the best example of how a series should end, with heart and moments of sheer suspense that I was left breathless. Marie Lu is a genius and I adored this series finale despite going through a pack of tissues, but let it be known that I would gladly do it all over again.

  1. Champion was easily the best book in this lot and the Legend series is hands down The Best Dystopian series I've read. Hunger Games is long gone and far left behind, but this series will forever be in my heart. Thank You, Marie Lu, for creating this incredible series and introducing us to the most amazing and strong willed characters. Day and June will always remain my most cherished couple.
