Holy Guacamole!! I have read THE ARCHIVED and found it to be amazing so when Victoria asked me to become a part of her MAKING HISTORY Vlog tour, I jumped at the chance. Victoria has come up with an interesting VLOG tour concept in which we get to know a little more about her while promoting her upcoming novel THE ARCHIVED that is due out in stores next year.

In today's Vlog post you will get acquainted with THE ARCHIVED and watch a most charming video detailing Victoria's first Hugsperience with the most amazing Neil Gaiman. Make sure to check out the intro video detailing this VLOG Tour and make sure to enter the giveaway at the end of this post. Good Luck!!

Imagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like books.
Each body has a story to tell, a life seen in pictures that only Librarians can read. The dead are called Histories, and the vast realm in which they rest is the Archive.
Da first brought Mackenzie Bishop here four years ago, when she was twelve years old, frightened but determined to prove herself. Now Da is dead, and Mac has grown into what he once was, a ruthless Keeper, tasked with stopping often-violent Histories from waking up and getting out. Because of her job, she lies to the people she loves, and she knows fear for what it is: a useful tool for staying alive.
Being a Keeper isn’t just dangerous-it’s a constant reminder of those Mac has lost. Da’s death was hard enough, but now her little brother is gone too. Mac starts to wonder about the boundary between living and dying, sleeping and waking. In the Archive, the dead must never be disturbed. And yet, someone is deliberately altering Histories, erasing essential chapters. Unless Mac can piece together what remains, the Archive itself might crumble and fall.
In this haunting, richly imagined novel, Victoria Schwab reveals the thin lines between past and present, love and pain, trust and deceit, unbearable loss and hard-won redemption. – Goodreads

  1. Awww, that's so nice! Well, when Lauren Oliver went to Manila for her Pandemonium Release...I went there, too. I attended a secret-ish lunch with her along with other book fans. We shared a big, warm group hug. ;)

  2. I think it's every time I feel bad and my friends just go to me and give me a GIANT HUG. I instantly feel better knowing that my friends are there. Also, whenever I feel down and my mom gives me a hug. I just know I'm loved. <3

  3. It was from my mom. We're not the touchy-feely kind but it always mean a lot when it comes from her. :)

  4. I don't know that I have a particularly memorable hugsperience. This may sound weird, but I always enjoy hugging people that are taller than me. I'm 5'10" so my dad is really the only person taller than me that I hug on a regular basis. Lol, that probably sounds crazy.

  8. Wow, I've had a lot of great hugs over the years... I still melt whenever my cat gives me a hug. Yeah, it's silly, but kitties don't just hug anyone, you know...

  9. My best hugsperience was shortly before my Mother passed away, she had a really good day we laughed watched Harry Potter and we had a wonderful hug good night. I will never forget that day.

  11. My best Hugsperience was from my best friend when I hadn't seen her in nearly a year. She'd been away at uni at the opposite end of the country and I didn't realise that she was going to be at a gig I was at because she hadn't told anyone so it'd be a surprise. I screamed, stopped hugging my friend from Canada, ran and jumped on her haha.

  10. My best hug experience was hugging Jason Segal.

  12. a hug? well tbh, I don't have that memorable Hugsperience. I do receive hugs.. but for me, they're all normal.. :/

  6. One of my best husperience was when I came home from hanging out with my friends and my nephew opened the door and jumped into my arms. Such a great way to be welcomed home =)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
