  1. My reason that I love YA is that I love going back and thinking of when I was in school, my high school crushes, my high school friends, all of that that I no longer have.. It's just great to escape back into a YA book and get away from adult life for a few hundred pages. =)

  3. I think some of the best YA novels of our time are being published right now because the YA market is so competitive. It's an exciting time to be a reader of the YA genre!

These are probably my two most anticipated fall releases. Can't wait to read them both. Thanks for the chance to win!

  6. I love reading YA because I feel like I missed out on the whole genre when I was a young adult...the YA sucked back then. Also, I love reading and remembering when.

  7. Well my love for YA is like most. I find the characters more relateable. I shy away from a lot of the adult books recently because of the more serious content that I really don't want to think about after a long day. I just want to be told a good story, remembering what it's like to have those romantic feelings or angst or first times. they make my real life every day more enjoyable

  9. I love YA because I think the characters are so much fun. They have to deal with teenage angst and all of the other baggage (and fun!) that comes along with being a young adult. Plus this genre has so many creative ideas regarding paranormal things!

Thanks for the giveaway, it must have been awesome to meet those two!!

I love YA because the characters are so relateable. I'm past 20 now but I can never relate with characters in adult novels, that's why I still read YA.

  11. I love the humor teenagers present. In YA you see them do things that as an adult, I wouldn't. It reminds me to be young! It's like an addiction.

I like that I can sit down and see myself in the characters I read about, I like that they go through tough times and they learn to cope and I truly see myself in these situations. I LOVE YA!!

  19. I love YA because it breaks boundaries. With adult novels I feel so confined into a specific setting and the rules don't get bent often. I find I resonate with it really well.

  20. Man, this is a multi-layered question! I love YA because it means so many different things to so many different people. For me, the genre speaks the truth in a way that everyone can relate to. I like reading and writing it because emotions are amplified and everything is so big during that time in your life. Plus, YA is about beginning to find yourself and that's just beautiful.

I love that photo! Super cool that you brought along the wig!

  23. I love YA for two reasons.

Firstly the storyline is usually a lot simpler than with many adult novels and because the market is so crowded with new YA books at the moment, the authors strive to come up with unique stories and slants on old themes. They are also usually quicker and easier reads when you are just looking for a bit of entertainment.

Secondly, I find that they cater to my taste for a bit of nostalgia and help me remember what my YA days were like.

Thanks for the giveaway and for opening it to worldwide entries.

    Much appreciated.

  24. Omg, thank you so much for this amazing giveaway! :D I would love to win these books. <33 Hmm, why I love YA.. Well, I am a young adult myself, so I like reading books where the main characters are close to my age :) And oh, YA books are just so GOOD. The plot lines are amazing, and mostly the writing is great ;p YA Dystopian is my favorite, though.

  31. YA is freaking awesome (aka, I love it) because everything seems possible when you're a teen. There's no pesky job or other ridiculous things associated with "real life" holding you down. You can do and be everything. Plus, YA is so innovative and yet completely understandable. Plus x2, the covers are always a bajillion times better than adult books.
So, yes, that's why I like YA, among other reasons. Did you like all my craptastical transitions? :P

  32. I love that with YA it can go anywhere. YA is very pure and simple and I love to read it when I want to brighten up my day. It also helps that I can read it in public with out getting dirty looks from old ladies.

  33. Maybe it is because I could relate to the characters more, I suppose. Or maybe because it reminds me of innocence. I do not really have an answer as to why I love YA, I just do:)

  34. I love YA because it's escapism at its purest form. <3 And because YA captures those "first-time" feelings that become super nostalgic when you read about it. :)

  36. Why , hmmmmmmmmmmm,

because, it has the mystery, love, action, etc.

But not too 'over' like a lot of adult books.

It doesn't have too much of reality in it,

one of the reasons I read YA, is because of the ability to 'bring one to another world', I don't really want to read about the reality, when I'm trying to get away from it sometimes.

But I'll probably grow liking them then?

    who knows,

    regards,

I love YA because...because it makes me feel like everything is possibile. Because, like John Greene in Looking for Alaska says, YA makes me feel a teenager again and teenagers "Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations. They forget that when they get old."
I forgot a lot of things but reading YA books I feel invincble again. I feel like I still can do a lot of things. I know it's pretty silly, but that's it.

  39. I really like it because there are so many different genres and that there are so many different twists that can be added. Plus, its harder to write for YA i think because there are so many different worlds and young adults are the ones that like to read fiction more.

  43. For quite a while I steered clear of YA. I was so sure it couldn't give me what I wanted in a book. I love my smexy smex scenes in a book and love watching two characters navigate their way to eachother while overcoming obstacles and then having explosive chemistry. I thought YA was meant for kids and I was nearing 30 and so not a child. It wasn't until I stumbled across Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols that I had my eyes opened. I was nervous at first picking up the book, but within the first few pages I was sucked into the story and I was so sad when it was over. I wanted more. I started to devour YA and fell in love with the genre. It made me realize I don't need my characters to get down and dirty to not feel the connection and the attraction they share. Just a touch, a look or a kiss was steaming up the pages and keeping me glued to the book. It brought back memories of my youth and my own innocence when falling in love and discovering who you are takes a back seat to everything else in your life. It made me want to go out and grab my husband and hold his hand just to get some of that innocence back :)

  45. I love YA novels. They're mostly the only books I read even though I'm an adult. I never really had an exciting life, especially not as a teenager so it's fun to read these books! I love how teenager characters grow throughout their stories as they come upon challenges whether it's supernatural or realistic. I especially love the romances in these books whether they're sweet or hot and heavy! ;)

  46. I love the magical worlds we are taken to in most YA novels without getting so many 'adult' issues, the romance is usually sweet and the characters still maturing and finding their way.

  47. For me YA is the romance i never had and the adventure my teen years was lacking. Sadly my teen years are coming to an end:( but by reading YA my teenage dreams and fantasies ae still very much alive! You don't get so much heaviness or serious issues that come with adult fiction but at the issues that you are presented with are relatable to real teen issues.

  49. YA books are so fun to read. There are some times where there are problems and there are times that they just say a lot of stuff I say and do and such. I feel related and I laugh when they say for example bad words and laugh because it's how we acted lol. Besides when it's a fantasy YA/ paranormal YA it's even better. Like I say, if it has fantasy/ paranormal it will be a lot better and if is YA I will probably like it even more. YA most of the times just completes the book... ;)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  50. YA books give me the closure that I sometimes need/want and to just relate someone in a book by actions, emotions, feelings and anything else. It also gives a time to be ourselves and to not worry about the stress of life and such. Just to get lost in a book and be a character inside with everyone else a sensation that I love. To experience other peoples lives without being judged or talked back at is what I like. Without YA I would have never loved to read as much as I do now.
