Sneak a Peek Saturday is a feature that lets you "peek" into an upcoming book. Sometimes, it is a chapter or two and maybe even less, either way it is an amazing opportunity that I enjoy seeking out and sharing.

This Saturday I have selected a book that I became aquainted with at BEA. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin is a wicked cool novel that is earning alot of great buzz and there are a few pages that are available for you to read and get "hooked"

Just click on the book cover and enjoy....and you will be left seriously wanting more.

Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.

There is.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.

She's wrong.

  1. I have wanted to read this book ever since I read the sample first chapter online. I was very glad to be able to get a copy at the Book Blogger's Convention and talk to the author. Michelle is so lovely!

  2. Glad you loved it too. I was also hooked from the very first page. I'm usually wary of amnesia books but I felt the summary made it seem like it was going to be a bigger part of the story, which I am glad it wasn't. And the ending was just sooo suspenseful! Great review :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
