In this debut novel, The Dark Divine, Bree Despain has written a multifaceted paranormal romance with a different twist. The mixture of religion, history and mystery are well blended in this fresh interpretation of the lupin.
I am a big fan of parnormal romance and I know many who enjoy a certain other fruit covered novel will go crazy for this new story. The Dark Divine has all the elements that make it a gripping read although they story line is a bit slower than I would like, it did keep my interest.
The story of Grace, daughter of the local pastor who falls in love with the mysteriously dangerous Daniel against her brother Jude's desperate warnings. They were once best friends, brothers, but that all ended one terrible night years before that Jude refuses to talk about. Then Daniel comes back into town and Grace realizes she loves him and that she wants to mend the broken relationships and fix Daniel, only to realize that in order to save him she might have to loose her soul.
The ending will have you engrossed with each heart stopping word. The Dark Divine is a perfect read for those fans of paranormal romance and Bree Despain is an author with wicked talent and one to keep on your radar.
