Waiting on Wednesday: Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on. I have decided to participate because I have a list that can go on forever and ever and it is interesting to see what else others are "waiting" for also.

My choice this week is Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters by Jane Austen and Ben H. Winters. After Pride Prejudice and Zombies came out and I heard about this upcoming novel I knew I had to have it. The cover is awesome funky and it has pictures inside :)

From the publishers of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies! We're elevating the genre of "mash-up literature" to awesome new heights with Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, an expanded edition of the beloved regency romance — with all-new scenes of monster mayhem and high seas adventure! Evicted from their home after their father's death, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood are desperate to find attractive gentlemen suitors — and even more desperate to defend their new coastal cottage from giant squid, man-eating clams, great white sharks, and other monsters of the deep. Armed with nets, harpoon guns, and plenty of dry wit, they'll need to conquer unscrupulous cads, meddling matriarchs, and a giant Kraken in their quest for true love.

  1. Yay they're doing more crazy stuff with Austen's books! :)

  2. I haven't read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies yet, so I'm not sure how I feel about these. But if you're waiting on them, I think it's probably safe to assume they're fun

  3. Hahaha! I am going to spread that trailer as much as I can. This looks so great.

  4. I've read so much about this book on other blogs that I thought it was already published! Enjoy : )
