Time OUT!! How do you monitor your reading time?

I love to read and I read a lot. I usually take my books to work and read before work and at lunch. So, today as I got all comfy with my book and cup of after lunch tea. I noticed that several people around me were also reading. I know that I get absorbed in my book and will loose track of time, so I had to by a mark-my-time digital book marker because I needed help, yet I noted that others used their phones (as timers) or just read to the end of the chapter to make sure that they did not go overboard. I got me to thinking??? How do people mark their time when reading when only allotted a certain amount of time of leisure?
So, here is the question. How do you monitor time when you are reading and have to keep it in check? My curious mind wants to know.
Here is what I use http://mark-my-time.com/

  1. Actually, I don't monitor my time much. I read whenever I get a chance. If it's late or something comes up...I just read to the end of the chapter. But, on the weekends I read, read, read.... Is it Friday yet?

  2. I don't monitor my reading time. If I need to do something then I will just read until the next chapter or stop where it seems sensible :)

  3. I'm usually like Kate, read to the end of the chapter and then stop, but I love that timer/bookmark!

  4. I never really monitor my time when I am reading. I usually just read until I get tired and then I will stop at the chapter mark.

  5. The only time I monitor my reading time is at work for breaks or for the 48 hour reading challenge. But we actually got clock bookmarks to giveaway for summer reading prizes this year and I really want one now!

  6. I read until my eyes get sore. I don't really care about time.

  7. If I'm at work, I basically just keep an eye on the computer clock as I read. If the break is over but I'm close to the end of a chapter, I will just finish it before setting the book down.

If I'm at home, I generally don't keep track of time as much as when I'm at work, but I'll just look at a nearby clock to see what time it is periodically.

  8. I love that book timer. But I don't usually monitor my time reading at home. I read until interrupted. I keep an eye on a clock only if I have to be someplace. At work, I sit near a clock, and check at chapter ends. Bu oh, such great timers. Want.

  9. I don't monitor my time AT ALL! If I have to get going I usually wait for a chapter break or the end of the chapter or if the paragraph ends on one page perfectly I can usually stop there too.

Usually I just do what I need to do. :) No tracking. Love the bookmark though. Very cool.
