Waiting on Wednesday: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on. I have decided to participate because I have a list that can go on forever and ever and it is interesting to see what else others are "waiting" for also.

This week was a tough one because there are so many wonderful books out there that I am totally jonesing for. I finally chose Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I really enjoyed Lament: A Fairie Queen's Deception and am eager to see her take on werewolves. After reading the synopsis, I was hooked.

Shiver by Maggie Steifvater
For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.
