"Say it Again" Saturday

"Say it Again Saturday" is a new feature hosted by fellow blogger and friend Karin, at Karin's Book Nook. She created this feature because like me, there are times when you read a book and there is this certain passage/line/moment that just implants itself in your brain and never lets go. It can either make you weak in the knees, laugh till your crying from the effort or just cry because your heart was torn apart. The next thing you know is that you want to tell anyone about what you just read. So this is your golden opportunity to let those see what you find brilliant.

My first post in this great feature is of one of my favorite books, New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. I remember when i first read this book I was left with such a lump in my throat that the impulse to have my friends read it was so great...it was over powering. There were many moments that caused my heart to squeeze painfully so I will devote my time to the ones that made me smile.

New Moon page 510 Edward is talking to Bella

"You're impossible," he said, and he laughed once--a hard laugh, frustrated. "How can I put this so that you'll believe me? your'e not asleep, and you'r not dead. I'm here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was think of you , seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn't want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy."

and I cannot forget this passage

New Moon page 514

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars--points of light and reason...And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. suddenly everything was on fir; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything."

*double sigh*
Because of everything that has gone on with the movie and all the craziness, sometimes it is easy to forget the very reason that I fell in love with these books. It is moments like those that makes me want to re-read these books over and over again. Is it the reason that so many adore Edward? The fact the Bella had someone that loved her so much that without her, he could not survive...
