My Review:

Hunted picks up right where Untamed left us; on the edge of our seats and craving for more and it continues by immediately grabbing our attention and does not let go. As you may have remembered Zoey, her friends, some vampyres and the Red Fledglings took refuge in Tulsa's Prohibition-era tunnels after the malicious Neferet and Kalona took over the House of Night.

Stevie Rae is soon on the mend *thanks to a friend :)* and the red fledglings seem to have made a home for themselves underground. They are proving to be productive and a great help during this stressful time, but Zoey cannot help the nagging feeling that seems to have taken root within her. Something is not quite right with them but It is an issue that Zoey cannot devote much time to, because a greater evil has to get taken care of first. Yet, before Zoey and the others can devise a plan of attack an unexpected visitor comes into the tunnels that changes everything.

Zoey finds her devotions being pulled into different directions and tragedy soon strikes leaving her and the House of Night gang to do the unthinkable and return to face their enemy. While back at the House of Night It is quickly apparent that the entire school is under Kalona's overpowering spell and Neferet is there to make sure that his every desire is met, even if it means allowing Zoey to live. To add to Zoey's already troubled heart, Stark comes back into her life and she is inexplicitly drawn to him even though he is clearly not the same boy anymore. As the house of night proves to be a bigger danger than Zoey suspected she knows that they cannot stay and help comes from one of new red fledgling that may have the key to defeating Kalona and his evil consort.

I am a big fan of the series, but Hunted left me highly unsatisfied. Why? because this book had an amazing start that once I began reading, I could not seem to put it down. I was so engrossed with its story. Then as the story progressed it appeared to have lost alot of its fire and went on to have an anti climatic ending that left the characters in the same predicament that the story began with (GAG). I enjoyed the story and only wish that it had a bit more of a resolution instead of giving me nothing but filler. Maybe those burning questions that were left unaswered will be resolved in Tempted due this fall.
