The Hunger Games UK style

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins was my favorite book for 2008. It was an amazing read that stuck with me long after the pages had been read, it was brutally frightening yet brilliant. For those that have read it, they will understand my passion for it. Unfortunately there isn't much information on the the series aside from the fact that there was a recent announcement to its next book called Catching Fire. It is due on September 8th, 2009.

I spotted this UK site and it seems to have alot of cool stuff. I noticed the difference in covers and seeing the young face displayed on the book jacket really brings forth the the fact that this book is centered on a 16 year old girl. For those that have not read the book yet and need a little more incentive there is even a chapter sample to get your interest going. If that doesn't work, then maybe this interview with Suzanne Collins will do the trick. If you do, you will not be dissappointed.
So, what are you waiting for?

  1. Oh how interesting. I like both the US and UK covers. I agree that it is good that the UK cover reminds the reader that Katniss is merely a child. The artist did a great job, I think, capturing Katniss' character. Peeta's, too, actually.

I'm listening to the interview, but it is stopping a lot. I'll try it again later.... I love the author's speaking voice as much as her written voice! :) Thanks for posting this!!

  2. Darn! I was hoping that it would not act up. There is so little information in regards to Suzanne Collins and this book, so I was excited to find the videos, but they are not of the best quality.

  3. i finished the book the day i started. i couldnt put it down. it really is an amazing book! the 2nd book seems so far away, i cant wait! i'm still confused about who Katniss is going to end up with. i really do love Peeta but Gale is awesome too. Peeta really likes Katniss and Gale seems compatible with Katniss. well, we'll just have to wait and see. I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK
